Liquidated Damages (LD) is a financial provision specified in a contract clause that allows one party to recover damages from another party in the event of a contract breach. An example of a liquidated damages clause is where an Owner may charge a General Contractor (GC) a $1,000.00 per day assessment for a project delay. A Letter of Intent (LOI) is a formal, business letter that states the intended agreement between two or more contracting parties. In Procore’s Conversations tool, an item conversation is a discussion related to an item in a Procore project. You can access item conversations in the ‘Items’ section of the Conversations tool, or directly on the item in the project.
